We're very sorry for the inconvenience, but Genealogyinprint.com - our premier source for books, CDs, and related genealogical and historical items - has been temporarily taken down. We feel that the book reprint business is no longer a viable model due to the book scanning efforts of Google and Cornell University, among many others. We are not complaining, however! This is very good news for genealogists and family historians, as many more old, obscure, and copyright-free books are becoming available online simply by searching the Internet. They are available for searching on your home computer, as they should be. Genealogists and historians will no longer have to buy entire books just to locate one small citation in them. With OCR [optical character recognition] technology, searching a book is much more accurate that old-style book indices. Technology, when used in such a postive way, is wonderful! So, where do we go from here?
